ALLEN PARK, Mich. — After days of cabin fever, the Buffalo Bills were finally able to practice.

Then they changed clothes at portable lockers in a hallway — a makeshift setup that underscored just how different this road trip is going to be.

The Bills arrived in the Detroit area and held practice in the evening at the Lions' headquarters in Allen Park. The team's schedule has been in flux because of a lake-effect storm that dumped more than 5 feet of snow on the Buffalo region since Monday. This weekend's game against the New York Jets was moved from Buffalo to Detroit and will be played Monday night.

MINNEAPOLIS — Adrian Peterson's hearing for the appeal of his suspension will be held on Dec. 2. And it will not be in front of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.The NFL announced that longtime hearing officer Harold Henderson will preside over the proceedings involving the Minnesota Vikings' star running back.Peterson has not played since the opening week of the season while dealing with child abuse allegations in Texas. He was placed on paid leave while the legal process played out, and he pleaded no contest on Nov. 4 to misdemeanor reckless assault for injuring his 4-year-old son with a wooden switch.Goodell suspended Peterson earlier this week for the rest of the season and told Peterson that he will not be considered for reinstatement before April 15.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Henrik Stenson birdied two of his closing three holes to seize a two-shot lead over Rory McIlroy and two others in the second round of the World Tour Championship.Stenson's 6-under-par 66 put him at 10 under overall in his bid to defend a title for the first time.The top-ranked McIlroy (70), Scotland's Richie Ramsay (69) and England's Danny Willett (67) were tied for second on 8 under at Jumeirah Estates.

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — Lee Janzen shot a 4-under 68 at Pebble Beach for a two-stroke lead over Andrew Putnam after two rounds of the Callaway Pebble Beach Invitational.Janzen, a two-time U.S. Open winner, was at 11-under 133. Putnam, a PGA Tour rookie, followed his 69 at Spyglass Hill with a 66, also at Pebble Beach.Luke Guthrie of the PGA Tour was alone in third at 7 under after a 68 at Del Monte.

TRENTON, N.J. — A federal judge ruled that New Jersey cannot partially lift a prohibition on sports betting in an effort to boost its struggling horse racing and casino industries, a finding Gov. Chris Christie's administration intends to appeal.The decision from U.S. District Judge Michael Shipp was the expected outcome since he had ruled similarly in the past.The state, locked in a legal battle with the NCAA and the four major U.S. professional sports leagues, has already filed a notice of appeal, Michael Drewniak, a spokesman for the Republican governor, said shortly after the judge's decision was announced.
