Stone Haberstroh scored three goals as the Freeport hockey team rolled to a 6-2 win over Westmont Hilltop at Belmont Ice Complex Thursday night.

Tommy Intrieri and Michael Frazetta also scored for the Yellowjackets.

Robert Reichenbaugh had four assists and Matt Houston stopped 24 shots in goal for Freeport (7-3).

Butler 5, State College 2 — Dustin Davis scored a pair of goals for the Golden Tornado.

Mackenzie Walters, Christopher Martin and Benjamin Rodgers also scored for Butler (6-3-2).

Jacob Curry had 23 saves in the win.

Nick Huff rolled a 531 series to lead the Butler boys bowling team to a season-opening 7-0 win over Mars Wednesday at Mars Lanes.Eight different boys contributed to the 2,362-1,494 victory. Daniel Schell paced the Planets.The Golden Tornado girls improved to 51-0 all-time in section play with a 7-0 triumph.Megan Paul rolled a 522 series in the 2,330-2,124 win. Nicole Blyth paced Mars with a 448.Butler hosts Armstrong next Wednesday afternoon at Family Bowlaway. Armstrong’s boys and girls finished first and second in WPIBL Section 2 last season.
