12:30 a.m. Wednesday — David R. Davenport III, 43, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend, Richelle Rice, during a domestic dispute at his home on Shady Avenue.Davenport is accused of hitting Rice in her face. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital a for treatment of apparent minor injuries.The defendant was gone when police got to the home but he later turned himself in to authorities. He is charged with simple assault.10:14 p.m. Tuesday — Two Ohio men were arrested at a suspected drug house in the 100 block of Hilltop Avenue.Police said one suspect, Cedric L. Sanders, 35, of Youngstown, was found with a baggie containing about two dozen pills of tramadol, an opioid pain medication. He also was found with $1,015 in currency and two cell phones, according to court documents.The other suspect, Walter S. Reynolds, 60, also of Youngstown, was found to be wanted on a bench warrant. Butler County Court records showed the warrant was issued Nov. 26 from a misdemeanor drug case city police filed in October.Sanders was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, and sent to Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail. Reynolds also was placed in the county prison for the warrant.Police noted they had received several neighbor complaints of drug activity at the house in the past two weeks.Tuesday — Police charged David E. Baker, 48, of Butler with the Oct. 3 break-in of a vacant house in the 100 block of College Street.Homeowner Dennis Tiche on Nov. 20 reported the suspected burglary after discovering a basement door had been forced in and all the copper piping in the house was missing, court documents said. The stolen property was valued at $475.Tiche told police that the house has been vacant for nearly a year.Officers spoke to a neighbor who recalled seeing Baker going in and out of the house in early October. Another witness, documents said, recalled seeing the defendant at the home “carrying copper pipes wrapped in a towel.”The investigation eventually led to Bob's Salvage yard in Oakland Township, where police suspect Baker sold the stolen property, documents said.Baker is charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief.6:55 p.m. Friday — Cars driven by Susan R. Leech, 47, of Butler and Shawn Ferrer, 39, of Penn Township collided at West Cunningham and South Chestnut streets. Leech, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury.

1:28 a.m. Saturday — A house party in Lyndora landed two young men and a youth in trouble.Police said Austin A. George, 19, of Parker and Zachary N. Kennedy, 21, of Butler allegedly assaulted two others at the party. Both are charged with simple assault and harassment.A 17-year-old, who police did not identify, was also cited for harassment for participating in the reported assault.

12:05 a.m. Wednesday — One person was hurt in a two-vehicle wreck in Jefferson Township. The crash happened when a car driven by Ashley M. McKissick, 23, and a sport utility vehicle driven by Joshua C. Johnson, 33, both of Butler, collided at Route 356 and Great Belt Road.Lynn M. Johnson, 31, of Butler, a passenger in the SUV, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. She was wearing a seal belt.Police said McKissick was cited for a stop sign violation and driving without insurance.Wednesday — Police charged Douglas Shakley, 60, of Karns City stemming from an argument over hunted property in Fairview Township last week on the opening day of deer season. Police said Shakley threatened 33-year-old Chad Householder of Butler with a rifle during the altercation on Main Hill Road.Householder fled the area and no injuries were reported. Shakley faces a charge of terroristic threats.Wednesday — A burglar made off with several handguns after breaking into a home on Primrose Lane in Brady Township. The break-in happened between 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Tuesday — Melisa K. Como, 22, of Grove City was charged with drugged driving stemming from a traffic stop about 9:05 p.m. Dec. 3 in Slippery Rock Township.Police suspected she was impaired after they stopped her on Route 8 about one-quarter mile north of Branchton Road. She failed several field sobriety tests and later a police drug recognition expert examined her at Butler Memorial Hospital, after she refused to take a blood test.The examination determined that Como was under the influence of an unspecified central nervous system depressant.She is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving without working brake lights, driving on the wrong side of the road, careless driving, not wearing a seat belt and not carrying her vehicle registration card.Tuesday — Police charged Craig M. Trumbull Sr., 43, of Greenville, Mercer County, with shoplifting two candy bars, a bag of nuts and a bottle of water from the Pilot Truck Stop in Muddy Creek Township on Oct. 3.The store clerk got the suspect's license plate number before he drove away with the items valued at $9.50.Trumbull, who has three prior shoplifting arrests, is charged with felony retail theft.Tuesday — A welding machine and welding copper leads were taken from a gas well drill site at Eagle Mill Road, south of Ragan Road, in Connoquenessing Township. The property, owned by Meridian Energy of Randolph, N.Y., was taken between 5 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.Monday — A thief stole a 2012 Kawasaki utility task vehicle from a gas well drilling site on Sunmine Road in Clinton Township. The vehicle is green and has the pipeline construction company's name, Holloman Corp., of Canonsburg, Washington County, across the hood.The UTV was taken between 4 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday.Noon Friday — An alleged assault at Summit Academy in Summit Township left one teenager with a broken jaw and another facing felony and other charges.Police said the suspect, a 17-year-old Philadelphia boy, is charged in juvenile court with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct.Police did not identify the suspect or the victim, a 17-year-old downstate New York boy.1:03 p.m. Dec. 1 — Cars driven by Tyler J. Bigley, 21, of Tarentum, Allegheny County, and Donna S. Kammerdeiner, 60, of Wethersfield, Conn., collided on Bonniebrook and Great Belt roads. After the collision, Bigley's car side swiped a road sign. Police said Bigley was cited for a stop sign violation.Nov. 25 — Someone struck at a gas well drilling site in Center Township and stole grinders, a Honda generator and welding copper leads. Meridian Energy of Randolph, N.Y., owns the stolen property, The theft happened Nov. 24 or 25.

5:16 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Christopher L. Crawford, 25, of Harrisville struck a deer on Route 308 in Clinton Township, Venango County. Crawford's car had to be towed after the crash.

11 p.m. Monday — Alexandria J. Harmon, 24, of Ford City is accused of taking a Lincoln welder from a 78-year-old Kittanning man at his home in the 600 block of Butler Road in East Franklin Township. Harmon faces a charge of theft.
