12:32 a.m. Saturday — Raheem J. Robinson, 23, no known address, was arrested on a felony warrant following a traffic stop at North Main and Pearl streets.Robinson, a passenger in the car that police stopped, was wanted in connection with an alleged purse snatching in the city last month.In that case, police said that on Nov. 15 he accosted a 17-year-old girl on East Wayne Street and stole her purse. He got away in a vehicle driven by another man, according to court documents.The alleged getaway driver, Shaquille Brown, 20, of Butler, turned himself in to police later that evening. Police got a warrant for Robinson's arrest. Both men are charged with robbery, conspiracy and theft.Robinson was arraigned on those charges and placed in the Butler County Prison on $75,000 bail.After Saturday's traffic stop, police searched Robinson and found two baggies of suspected marijuana and four stamp bags of suspected heroin and a marijuana blunt.Robinson is charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and a small amount of marijuana.Friday — Kevin M. Miller, 32, of Butler was arrested stemming from the theft of jewelry from a home in the 300 block of Second Street earlier this year. Miller allegedly took about $5,000 worth of jewelry from Margaret Riley's home, where he had been living, according to court documents.Riley filed a report with police on Wednesday after discovering the missing items. She suspected Miller of taking the jewelry. Police checked the Butler County Precious Metals website and found the defendant had sold some of the stolen property at gold stores between July 9 and Dec. 2, documents said.Police said they also suspect Miller on Aug. 21 and 22 made several unauthorized transactions, which totaled $672, using Riley's bank debit card.Miller was arraigned on felony charges of forgery, theft and receiving stolen property and a misdemeanor charge of access device fraud. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail following arraignment.Meanwhile, police last week also charged Justin T. Zarnick, 31, of Butler Township in connection with the theft of jewelry from Riley's home. Zarnick on Dec. 6 allegedly sold a ring and a chain with a pendant, valued at a combined $150, to a gold store. He is charged with a misdemeanor count of receiving stolen property10:47 p.m. Wednesday — Shauna May Cress, 28, of Butler was caught with suspected prescription drugs and drug contraband after being pulled over driving a vehicle without its headlights on at West New Castle and Bluff streets.A search of her purse, according to court documents, turned up 12 gabapentin pills and one clonazepam pill in a prescription bottle with part of its label ripped off, court documents said.Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant used to treat conditions ranging from epilepsy to restless leg syndrome. Clonazepam is an anti-anxiety medication used to treat seizures and panic disorder.Also in Cross' purse, police said, was a crack pipe and a portion of a straw with suspected drug residue on it.The car's center console held a box containing three syringes and a spoon, documents said.Cress is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and the lighting violation.

12:49 p.m. Saturday — Carrie R. Nelson, 32, of Butler was caught with suspected marijuana after being stopped for allegedly shoplifting $45 in merchandise from the Trader Horn store at the Greater Butler Mart.Nelson is charged with retail theft and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Saturday — A thief stole a tree hunting stand in the area of Westminster Road in Clinton Township. A 42-year-old Mars man owns the property, a Lone Wolf Hand Climber stand valued at $400, which was taken between Wednesday and Saturday.Police said their investigation continues and surveillance video is being reviewed. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Thursday — A burglar Wednesday or Thursday broke open the front door of a home in Prospect and stole about $530 worth of stainless steel and copper pieces. The home, owned by Residential Real Estate Review of Salt Lake City, Utah, had about $50 in damage.A police report did not indicate if investigators have any suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call police.6:50 a.m. Dec. 7 — The unknown driver of a commercial flatbed truck threw an object out of his cab that struck and damaged another vehicle traveling on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Christopher Morgan, 31, of Sewickley, Allegheny County, was driving the vehicle that was hit and damaged.

2:15 a.m. Friday — An unidentified vehicle pulled in a driveway and struck a railing to the front steps at a home on Ellwood Road just south of Gibson Street in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The vehicle traveled through a yard, leaving tire marks, in its getaway.
