Jamison takes 3rd in 'Voice' competition

Chris Jamison did not take the top spot in “The Voice” Tuesday night.

The North Hills native, whose family is from Butler County, placed third in NBC’s popular singing competition.

Craig Wayne Boyd, the Nashville, Tenn., country rocker from Blake Shelton’s team, was named the winner. Boyd wins a record deal and the $100,000 grand prize.

Jamison, who was coached by singer Adam Levine, on Monday’s show performed three songs in hopes taking first place.

His parents, Bryan and Michelle, are Butler natives, who live in Ross Township. He has several other family members in the county.
