EAST BRADY, Clarion County — The East Brady Area Development Council met Dec. 10 to focus on reorganization and increasing membership.

The group has been meeting for the past several months for this purpose.

It has adopted a mission statement and goals, proposed changes to the bylaws, developed a new membership form, made a name change and reviewed financial issues.

A Visit East Brady website is under development, and the group is looking for photographs of the area for that. Photographs can be submitted to Melissa Gottschalk at melgottchalk@gmail.com.

The board last week voted to make the “We Believe” Christmas program a committee of the council with the goal of expanding this yearly holiday event in 2015.

The mission of the council is to make East Brady an even more desirable community to visit.

The group welcomes ideas and suggestions from residents, business owners and other organization leaders.

The group meets at 6:30 p.m. the second Monday of each month at the Old Bank Deli at 323 Kelly’s Way. The next meeting will be Jan. 14.
