Slippery Rock redshirt freshman defensive end Marcus Martin was the only freshman named to the Associated Press Little All-America team.

Martin is the first player from The Rock to be selected for the team since Brandon Fusco was honored in 2010.

The AP Little All-American team recognizes players from Division II, Division II and NAIA schools.

Martin finished with 16 sacks and 22.5 tackles for loss last season. His sack mark set The Rock record, which had previously been 12.
