9:16 p.m. Monday — Lisa Wilbert, 29, of Chicora was charged with retail theft after she allegedly attempted to steal $215 worth of merchandise from Walmart.8:30 p.m. Monday — David J. Pfenningwerth, 27, of Butler was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after police arrested him on five active Butler County bench warrants.5:52 p.m. Monday — Township police are investigating a hit and run car accident on North Eberhart Road, near the entrance to Moraine Pointe Plaza.Police said a southbound white Toyota RAV4 with a Massachusetts registration struck the back of another southbound vehicle driven by Cheryl Falce, 56, of Renfrew.The Toyota, driven by an older white male, fled and was last seen driving west on Evans City Road.Falce complained of neck and back pain but refused treatment at the scene. She later went to Butler Memorial Hospital on her own.3:14 p.m. Monday — Guy Simens, 40, of Clintonville was charged with assault, theft, public intoxication, resisting arrest and multiple drug related offenses after he allegedly fought with a township police officer.Police said the officer responded to the township road department on reports of a suspicious man outside causing problems.When the officer arrived he spoke with Simens and determined he was under the influence of a controlled substance.When the officer attempted to arrest Simens, the 40-year-old resisted and fought the officer.Police said the officer, who was not injured, was able to take Simens into custody. Simens was found to be in possession of methamphetamines and marijuana.Simens was placed in Butler County Prison on $1,500 bail.5:45 p.m. Saturday — Tasha L. McCardle, 25, of Butler was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after township police found her in possession of heroin.Police were serving a bench warrant on McCardle at the time of the discovery.5:36 p.m. Friday — A four-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Whitestown Road and Villa Drive.Police said a vehicle driven by Anthony J. Geitgey, 46, of Butler crashed into the back of a vehicle driven by Ryan Chuba, 31, of Butler, who was stopped waiting for another car to make a left turn.The collision forced Chuba's vehicle into the back of a vehicle driven by Matthew Brazell, 31, of Grove City, who then struck the back of a vehicle driven by Marianne Polanec, 51, of Butler.Chuba was taken to a hospital by private vehicle with minor injuries. Geitgey was cited for careless driving.5:20 p.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Dallas Stump, 73, of Butler struck the back of a vehicle driven by Harry Szostek, 57, of McGrann, Pa., on New Castle Road at its intersection with Campus Lane.Stump failed to notice Szostek slowing down for a red light. Stump was cited for following too closely.

6:09 p.m. Friday — PNC Bank, 802 W. Main St., was cited for Control of Alarm Devices after its fifth alarm activation in 12 months.
