Curtis D. 'Moose' Evans

Curtis D. “Moose” Evans, 58, of Butler passed away on Dec. 18 at the Life Care Unit at Alle-Kiski Medical Center in Natrona Heights.

Born on Sept. 3, 1956, in Ellwood City, he was a son of the late Harry “Mike” and Eleanor Schramm Evans.

He had worked as a machinist for Robinson Industry in Harmony, retiring in 2008 following 28 years of service.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Butler.

Surviving are his wife, Karen Osche Evans, who he married on Sept. 1, 1979; his son, Michael (Heidi) Evans of Portersville; his daughter, Michelle (Jefferson) Draper of Allison Park; his two grandsons, Dakoda Schmit and Chance Evans; his brother, Richard (Cynthia) Evans of Mars; his two sisters, Beth “Annie” (Gary) Lee and Melissa (Robert) Ketterer, both of Texas; and his numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Evans— There will be no public visitation for Curtis D. “Moose” Evans, who passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014.A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
