10:05 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Angela Carlson, 22, of Butler crashed into an embankment and fire hydrant after sliding off snow-covered South Benbrook Road.12:34 p.m. Tuesday — One person was hurt when Brenda F. Guido, 58, of Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County, lost control of her vehicle and collided with an oncoming vehicle on snow-slickened Saxonburg Road.The other vehicle, driven by Renee Slupe, 50, of Butler, traveled off the road and rolled over into a drainage ditch following the collision. Slupe was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.Police cited Guido for driving too fast for conditions.

Wednesday — A Beaver County man was arrested in connection with a $6,000 gold bracelet stolen in 2014 from a woman's home in Reiser Court. The owner reported the bracelet missing from her jewelry box March 3.She told police that she suspected someone in the home's cleaning staff, according to court documents. Police identified Dennis R. Martin, 45, of Freedom as one of those cleaners.During the investigation, police learned that Martin on March 1 pawned the stolen bracelet for $700 at a jewelry store in Mount Lebanon, Allegheny County.Police later questioned Martin, who denied taking the bracelet. He told investigators that a woman he worked with had given him the bracelet and asked him to pawn it.District Judge Dave Kovach on Nov. 14 issued an arrest warrant for Martin. Kovach on Wednesday arraigned Martin on a felony charge of receiving stolen property. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $15,000 bail following arraignment.Wednesday — Adam King, 23, of McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, was arrested on charges he shoplifted $212 in merchandise from the Walmart at the Cranberry Mall. He ran out of the store with the items he had placed in a diaper bag, according to court documents.Police later identified King, who was charged with misdemeanor retail theft. He was arraigned Wednesday and placed in the Butler County Prison on $15,000 bail.

4:05 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Viola K. Wagerman, 59, of Sandy Lake struck a speed limit sign after hitting an embankment at Route 308 and Eau Claire Road in Clinton Township, Venango County. Police cited her for driving too fast for conditions.

2 a.m. Monday — An Oklahoma man allegedly attacked another man during an altercation at the Peaceful Valley Trailer Park in Washington Township. The suspect, Rickey Don Blair, 32, of Pocola, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.The alleged victim, Mark Selsor, told police that he met Blair and a friend of Blair's who he knew only by the name “Billy” while at the Beer Garden on Route 38 in Washington Township, according to court documents.Selsor said the three played pool and drank beer before he left. But later that night, the three met up again at the trailer park and got into an argument. Selsor recounted that Blair and the other man badly beat him, documents said.Police reported Selsor suffered injuries including “cuts, swelling and discoloration to his face. He also had a right hip injury that left him unable to walk.It was not immediately known if police have identified the other man in the alleged assault.
