The city parking authority announced Wednesday night that parking rates at lots in the city will remain at their current rate in 2015.

The authority’s lots include the tier garage on West Cunningham Street and the South McKean Street deck.

Monthly parking permits are $20 to $50 per month, depending on the lot.

While there are not increases in rates this year, authority Chairman Jim Chiprean said there may be increases in 2016 to help pay for the proposed parking garage expected to be built near the corner of South McKean and East Cunningham streets.
