Butler Twp PoliceWednesday — Police charged Micah D. Hartman, 34, of Butler and Anna L. Frobe, 28, of Lyndora in connection with the theft of a $375 vacuum cleaner taken from the Target store at Butler Commons. Hartman is charged with retail and conspiracy to commit retail theft.Frobe is charged with conspiracy to commit retail theft.4 p.m. Tuesday — Jeffrey A. Reese, 35, of Pittsburgh was caught allegedly shoplifting more than $300 worth of merchandise from Sam’s Club at Moraine Pointe Plaza. He is charged with retail theft.

State Police, ButlerThursday — Police reported they are investigating the theft of a rifle stolen from a vehicle last year in Jefferson Township. The JC Higgins .22-caliber rifle and $10 in currency was taken between Oct. 26 and 28 from the vehicle at a home on Golden City Road.
