Catherine Cararie

Catherine Rose Cararie, 39, of Pittsburgh passed away unexpectedly Tuesday at her home.

Born on Aug. 24, 1975, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Robert and Gretchen Smith Cararie.

She was a 1993 graduate of Mars High School. She later attended Allegheny Community College, where she earned a certificate in medical billing.

She enjoyed her cat, “Ginger,” and she was a member of the Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her birth daughter, Joetta of Goshen, Ind.; her two brothers, Joseph (Tina) Cararie of Washington and Anthony (Caity) Cararie of Gibsonia; and her numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Claire and Rosemary Smith, and her paternal grandparents, Joseph and Rose Cararie.

Cararie— The friends of Catherine Rose Cararie, who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Road, Butler, with the Rev. Robert Cedolia, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Savior Cemetery in Gibsonia.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 100 W.
