Several Butler County area boys and girls basketball teams know who and when they will play in the District 9 playoffs this week:

The Moniteau boys basketball team will take on Port Allegany Wednesday in a Class AA game at a site and time to be announced.

The Karns City boys basketball team will battled Brockway Thursday in a Class AA game at a site and time to be announced.

The Karns City girls basketball team received a first-round bye in the Class AA bracket.

The Moniteau girls basketball team will square off against Brookville Wednesday in a Class AA game at a site and time to be announced.

The Union boys basketball team will play at Johnsonburg Tuesday in a Class A game at 7 p.m.

The A-C Valley girls will play at Cameron County Tuesday in a Class A game at 7 p.m.

D-10 hoop playoff brackets released

The Grove City boys basketball team will take on Girard Thursday in a Class AAA game at Meadville High School at 8 p.m.

The Slippery Rock High girls basketball team will battle Villa Maria Saturday in a Class AAA game at Gannon University in Erie at 1 p.m.

The Grove City girls basketball team will sqaure off against Mercyhurst Prep Saturday in a Class AAA game at Ft. LeBoeuf High School at 2:30 p.m.
