KARNS CITY — The Karns City High School Drama Club will present “Shrek the Musical” at 7:30 p.m. March 5, 6, 7 and at 2 p.m. March 7 in the high school auditorium.

Tickets are $9 if presold or $10 at the door. Tickets are available at the high school.

Shrek is the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue.

Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero.

Luckily, there's one on hand and his name is Shrek.

Beth Ackelson is the director, and Alison Carey is the director of music.

Lyric Ackelson is the choreographer, Beth Ackelson is the producer and the assistants to the director are Judy Oshlick and Sara Ellenberger.

The stage managers are Angelina Craig and Eddie Craig.

The set designer is Jeff Bly, and the costume coordinator is Judy Oshlick. Amy Parker, Patrick Parker and Jenny Martin are in charge of lighting while Eric Rodgers and Mackenzie Hindman are in charge of sound.

Bobbie Tayler is the hair/makeup coordinator.

Diane Sinz and Sara Ellenberger are in charge of the programs.
