Snow Creations deadline slated

The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department is accepting entries for its Snow Creations contest through March 17.

Send entries to Butler County Parks and Recreation Department, Snow Creations, 184 Alameda Park Road, Butler, Pa., 16001.

All entries should include a photograph of the snow creation; the creator’s name, address, phone number and e-mail; and the date. Multiple entries are allowed.

The contest first prize is a Family Alameda Waterpark Pass.

Datta Kriya yoga workshops offered

An introduction to Datta Kriya yoga will be from 12:45 to 4:45 p.m. Saturday at the Slippery Rock Recreational Center and from 12:45 to 4:45 p.m. March 10 at the Grove City Library.

Datta Kriya yoga requires no difficult postures. It involves controlled breathing, hand gestures and seated postures.

The teacher, Daria Woodside, has more than 25 years of experience.

Library will host Seuss celebration

ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Public Library, 227 S. High St., will have a Dr. Seuss Night at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The celebration will be for children 2 years old through second grade and include games, stories, a craft and a snack. The Cat in the Hat will visit for pictures.

Infant story time coming to library

ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Public Library, 227 S. High St., will offer a weekly baby story time for infants and toddlers up to 24 months beginning at 10:30 a.m. March 4.

The 30-minute program will allow babies and their caregivers to interact and explore through song, reading and play.
