The Butler boys bowling team finished four pins short of winning the WPIBL championship Wednesday night at North Versailles.

Moon won the title by knocking down 3,084 pins, followed by Butler (3,080) and North Allegheny (3,030).

Dan Bellis led Butler with a 654 series, including a top game of 267.

Golden Tornado freshman Shawn Marcellus rolled a 647 series and a high game of 247.

Nick Huff also contributed a 605 series and a 246 high game for Butler.
