It’s now a year since you were taken away.

We think of you with love today,

But, that is nothing new.

We thought about you yesterday,

And all the days before that too.

We miss your smile, chuckle and big brown eyes,

With heavy hearts as we still ask “why?”

Many turned to you, a caring and giving man,

When they needed a job, home or just a helping hand.

Very thankful are those of us whose lives you touched,

To be a part of your life, we were blessed so much.
