John “Jack” George Johnson, 77, of Saxonburg passed away Thursday.

He was the devoted husband to Gay for more than 45 years, loving father to Barclay (BJ) and Tucker (Lisa) and adored grandfather of Josie and Jacob.

Originally from Erie, Jack was a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, an accomplished musician, a Korean War veteran, and an industrial designer at Alcoa, now retired.

Jack and Gay founded the Saxonburg Little Theater where Jack put his master craftsman skills to use as technical director and was often seen on stage.

Jack was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Jim, and is survived by his cherished brother, Bob, and dear sister-in-law, Syb. He treasured his nieces, nephews and friends.
