PENN TWP — A trailer became unhitched from a pickup truck along Brownsdale Road on Monday morning, and it sheared off a utility pole.

Township police report that the pickup, driven by Barry Lang, 53, of Greenville, Mercer County, was in the 400 block when the trailer became disconnected.

No injuries were reported.

Police are citing Lang for towing violations.

The pole is supported by guide wires so no residences lost electricity or other services.
