Tornado bow in singles

Butler senior Henry May defeated Knoch’s Ben Andrews 10-0 in the opening round of the Section 2-AAA boys tennis singles tournament Monday before falling to Pine-Richland’s Ben Vinarski in the second round.

Butler’s Devin Fitz lost in the first round 10-2 to Hampton’s Jung Bang.

Softball

Butler received three singles and four RBI from Kait Barnett, but fell 12-5 at North Hills.

Rachel Rebmann had two singles and a double for Butler (1-1).

Freeport’s girls lacrosse team dropped a 14-3 decision to Greensburg Salem.

Cameron Lindsey scored two goals for the Yellowjackets while Jacque Burris added one score.
