Campaign cash cows

It’s been pointed out that the race for president is “already turning into the ultimate size contest: the length of a dynasty (or two), bragging about campaign war chests, and the boldness to ask the American people for billions of dollars to be our next President.

While it may be true that we get to vote next November, that’s only after the super rich have chosen the candidates for us (Clinton’s fundraising goal is $2.5 billion and entry to just one Bush fundraiser is $100,000).

I’ve got nothing against the rich, but the system is broken, plain and simple.

Politics shouldn’t be pay-to-play. We must work together to pass anti-corruption laws that not only protect our local communities, but also help create drive to pass state and federal anti-corruption acts.
