SAXONBURG — Upcoming events at the South Butler Community Library, 240 W. Main St., include:

6 p.m. Tuesday, Knitting and Crochet Circle

2 p.m. Wednesday, Earth Day arts and crafts event repurposing old books into gifts and household objects

10:30 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday, A to Z Party in the Children’s Room. Take a letter snack.

Foster care session set

Bethany Christian Services will present information for potential foster care families from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 28 at Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road.

The speaker will explain how to become a certified foster family, including what to expect in a home study.

Participants attending the session are not obligated to become foster families.

Bethany Christian Services provides support for adoptions, pregnancy counseling, foster care services and crisis care for participating families.

The event is free. Make reservations by April 27 with Hannah or Christina of Bethany Christian Services at 724-940-2900.

Library will host Star Wars Night

ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Public Library, 227 S. High St., will host its second annual Star Wars Night at 6:30 p.m. May 4.

The program is for children ages 3 and up and will feature a special Star Wars-themed story time, games and a craft. Participants are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Star Wars character or wear a Star Wars T-shirt.
