Bernard Williams

Bernard D. Williams, 79, of Portersville passed away on Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 13, 1936, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Harry and Estelle (Feinagle) Williams.

Bernard was a faithful member of St. Christopher at the Lake Catholic Church in Prospect.

For more than 35 years, he loved coaching football and baseball, but above all, he will be most remembered for the love he had for his wife, children and grandchildren.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 57 years, Joan (Szemanski) Williams; his four children, Stephen Williams and his wife, Carolyn, of Plano, Texas, Joanie Hatcher of Haltom City, Texas, Ted Williams and his wife, Kathleen, of Evans City and Keith Williams and his wife, Kimberly, of Salem, Ohio; and his six adored grandchildren, Betsy Castro, Stephanie Hatcher, Buck Williams, James Williams, Lindsey Williams and Keith Wiliams Jr. and with a seventh grandchild on the way.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Brazill and Estelle Behun and two brothers, Joseph Williams and Gilbert Williams.

WILLIAMS — The Williams family will welcome friends of Bernard D. Williams, who died Wednesday, April 22, 2015, on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Christopher at the Lake Catholic Church, 229 N. Franklin St., Prospect, with Father Joseph Feltz, celebrant. Friends are asked meet at church.He will be laid to rest at the St. Gregory Catholic Church Cemetery in Zelienople.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in his honor in support of the St. Christopher at the Lake, 229 N.
