Changes reported on staff of Eagle

John Bojarski

The Butler Eagle has made several reporter staff changes.

Staff writer John Bojarski, who has been at the Eagle for five years covering the Slippery Rock area, now is covering county government.

He replaces Tom Victoria.

Staff writer Joe Genco, who has been in the Eagle's Cranberry Township bureau since May, replaces Bojarski.

Eric Tichy is a new staff writer in the Cranberry office, replacing Genco.Tichy, 28, of Buffalo, N.Y., has worked at several newspapers: the Times-Observer in Warren, Pa., and the Post-Journal in Jamestown, N.Y., and he was the managing editor of the Corry Journal in Corry, Pa.He has a journalism degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia, N.Y.

Nathan Bottiger, 23, of Sunbury, Pa., is a new staff writer, replacing Amy Cooknick. He will handle obituaries and do general assignment reporting.He has a journalism degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, where he was the editor in chief of the student newspaper, The Advocate.Both Tichy and Bottiger have moved to Butler County.
