For residents of Butler, Callery, Valencia and West Sunbury, the final day to pay 2015 Butler County real estate taxes at the discount rate is Thursday.

Any tax payments received in person on Thursday or postmarked Thursday will be honored at that rate.

Residents of those municipalities may pay in person at county Treasurer Diane Marburger’s office in the county Government Center, 124 W. Diamond St., Butler, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:20 p.m.

Payments also may be made online by visiting the county website at www.co.butler.pa.us and clicking on the “pay taxes” link. Mailed tax payments must be postmarked no later than Thursday and mailed to the Butler County Treasurer, P.O. Box 1208, Butler, PA 16003.

County real estate taxes paid at the discount rate received after Thursday will be returned to the sender.
