Vera Jane Hahn

Vera Jane Hahn, 82, of Cabot passed away Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born Feb. 3, 1933, in Armstrong County, she was the daughter of the late Donald Crummy and Sarah Ruth (Schall) Crummy.

She worked at Concordia Lutheran Ministries for 14 years as the head cook.

She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Herman. Vera enjoyed word search and jigsaw puzzles. She was known for her orange cookies. For 14 years, she sewed the baptismal gowns for St. Joseph Church in Cabot, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers. Vera made ceramics, making beautiful nativity scenes. She and her late husband worked at the Butler Auto Auction, and they loved traveling all over the country. Vera was deeply devoted to the Blessed Mother.

Surviving are her loving children, her daughter, Eva Marie Hahn of Cabot; sons, Gordon L. (Linda) Hahn of Valencia and Donald G. (Debbie) Hahn of North Carolina; her granddaughter, Erica (Brian) Bishop of the Bay Area, Calif.; and her grandson, Jason A. Jacobi of Los Angeles, Calif.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Herman Lee Hahn, who passed away Oct. 13, 2014, and her brother, Donald Crummy.

HAHN — Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Herman with Father Mark Pattock, OFM Cap, officiating.
