Outdoor programs offered

The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will host free Outdoor Discovery programs on Thursdays at Alameda Park.

Programs are at 6:30 p.m. in the Carousel Shelter, except for the SurfSup Adventures on July 23 which starts at 7 p.m. at the Alameda Waterpark.

The schedule includes:

Musical showcase set

The second annual Swing into Summer Musical Showcase will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Alameda Park, as hosted by Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church.

Film series concludes

The spring film series at the Maridon Museum will conclude with “Floating City” presented by Ken Harris at 6 p.m. today. Admission is free. Donations will be accepted. For information, call 724-282-0123.

Animal habitat exhibit open

PITTSBURGH — The new animal secrets exhibition at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History invites visitors to explore hidden habitats and secret lives of forest animals.

“Animal Secrets” continues through Jan. 10, 2016.

Panei performs in Foxburg

FOXBURG — Butler musicians Tom Panei & Friends will present An Acoustic Evening at 7:30 p.m. June 6 at Lincoln Hall, 42 S. Palmer St.

Panei, a singer, songwriter and guitarist, will perform along with guitarist Greg Muiter, pianist Jessica Sanzotti, and guitarist and singer/songwriter Zach Manuel.
