Helen Harbison

Helen A. Harbison, 94, of Sarver passed away Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born Jan. 16, 1921, in Buffalo Township, she was the daughter of Austin and Mary Wade Livingston. She was the youngest of 11 children and the last survivor.

Helen had worked as a housekeeper for Sunny Crest Nursing Home. She enjoyed playing cards, penny slots, crocheting, sending cards to all of her family and fishing.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Nemchick of Valencia, Helen (Donald) Hortert of Butler, and Marla (Richard) Hackett of Mayer, Ariz.; her son, Ronald (Lori) Harbison of Jamestown, Pa.; 56 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard Harbison on Sept. 17, 1995; and her daughter, Sylvia Phillips.

HARBISON — Friends of Helen A. Harbison, who died Saturday, May 30, 2015, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.

Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Sarverville Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the charity of the donor’s choice.
