After announcing a new album and tour on her birthday last month, Janet Jackson on Monday unveiled “No Sleeep,” her first new music in more than five years.

The track, the first single from the untitled album, is sexy and smooth in its melodies and a welcome throwback to Jackson’s groove-heavy, candlelit R&B of the ’90s.

For “No Sleeep,” Jackson reunited with longtime producers and friends Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

Jackson’s new album, due in the fall, will be released on BMG and her own Rhythm Nation imprint.
