Butler Police

4:47 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Christina M. Sankey, 42, of Hilliards struck a car driven by Kathleen M. Ferrer, 33, of Butler at the intersection of Jackson and Brady streets.

Ferrer suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Butler Twp Police

9:09 p.m. Wednesday — Timothy McCullough, 20, of Butler was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and several traffic violations after police found several empty suspected heroin stamp bags and syringes on him during a traffic stop.

Wednesday — Gerald L. Stewart, 68, of Slippery Rock was charged with two counts of false reports after his vehicle allegedly hit a pedestrian in front of the Sheetz on New Castle Road.

Police said it was initially believed the vehicle that struck Roberta Prementine, 42, of Butler drove away. However, an investigation revealed that Stewart had stopped at the scene, but gave officers misleading information.

10:24 a.m. Tuesday — A vehicle driven by Heath Nagle, 19, of Butler failed to stop for traffic at the entrance to Butler High School on New Castle Road and struck the back of a vehicle driven by Duane Webster, 51, of Fombell.

Webster’s vehicle was pushed into a box truck driven by Nikolay Sytsevich, 42, of Charlotte, N.C.

A 16-year-old passenger in Nagle’s vehicle complained of head and neck pain and was checked out by Butler Ambulance personnel, but refused further treatment.

Nagle was cited for following too closely.

State Police, Butler

4:58 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Richard R. Glass, 33, of New Castle struck the back of a car driven by Roger C. Clay, 41, of Atlanta as Clay was stopped, waiting to turn left into a Pilot gas station on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township. Glass was charged with following too closely.

3:30 p.m. Thursday — Police said a 76-year-old Franklin Township woman was a victim of theft by deception at her Nazarene Lane home.

Police said the woman was deceived over the phone by an unknown caller. The investigation is ongoing.

9:11 p.m. Wednesday — David R. Camp Jr., 26, of Butler was charged with DUI after he was stopped for speeding on Route 8 in Penn Township.

7:20 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Mark B. Trauman, 49, of Zelienople collided with a Jeep driven by Thomas J. Vogt, 35, of Erie on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Police said both vehicles were attempting to move into the left lane.

2:48 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Christopher J. Macher rear-ended a car driven by Thomas S. Bellaji Jr., 50, of Butler on Evans City Road near Goose Haven Lane in Connoquenessing Township.

Macher was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

3:27 a.m. Wednesday — A 39-year-old woman from West Middlesex, Mercer County, was arrested for suspected DUI after she crashed her car on Route 422 in Muddycreek Township. Charges are pending blood test results.

8:12 a.m. June 7 — A car driven by Wilkinson T. Bellille, 24, of Evans City crashed along Route 528 in Forward Township.

Police said it is believed Bellille suffered a medical condition before the accident, causing him to lose control of his car and crash into the guide rail.

Bellille suffered minor injuries and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital by Harmony EMS.

Oct. 15 — Unknown suspects opened a credit card on behalf of Carrie Mae Stavalle Hanrahan, 22, of Slippery Rock and made two charges totaling more than $300.

State Police, Mercer

3:05 p.m. Wednesday — Gesa Wellenstein of Springfield Township, Mercer County, reported someone stole items from her Pennsy Road home.

State Police, Kittanning

1:40 p.m. Tuesday — Police said heavy rain caused Taylor J. Pivetta, 21, of Kittanning to lose control of his car and crash into an embankment along Route 28 in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.

Grove City Police

Wednesday — Brandon Rankin, 21, of Harrisville was charged with theft by unlawful taking after he allegedly stole $219 from All Good Things Thrift Shoppe on West Main Street.
