G.J. Senchak pitched a gem, striking out 17 batters, walking just two and allowing only four hits in Mars’ 3-0 Eagle County League baseball win over Freeport at Swartz Field Monday evening.

Senchak added a triple at the plate while Brandon Bergstrom singled, doubled and drove in a run for Mars.

John Crummy did the job both on the mound and at the plate in Mars II’s 6-2 win over Zelienople.

Crummy pitched five scoreless innings and earned the win after belting two doubles, scoring twice and driving in a run on offense.

Darren Blakeley singled and scored twice for Mars II (11-2) and Matt Eperesi and Mike Guercio both had two hits.

Tyler Graham singled and doubled to help Pine-Richland defeat the Mars Sliders 4-0.
