West Sunbury plated seven runs in the first three innings and cruised to an 8-2 victory over Mars in legion baseball play Monday.

Zach Jewart fanned 12 in the win, allowing just two unearned runs on a pair of hits in five innings.

Nathan Hoshak had two hits and two RBI for West Sunbury.

Jordan Hickey totaled three hits, two runs scored and two RBI in Saxonburg’s 10-6 triumph against Meridian.

Logan Hickey added two hits and two RBI and Matt Cornetti two hits.

Zach Junk, Dustin Montgomery and Bryan Jack combined to surrender just six hits on the mound for Saxonburg.

Jacob Stutz had three hits and three runs scored for Meridian and Justin Rickert hit a two-run home run.
