Ethel M. Miller
Ethel M. Miller, 90, of Teakwood Road died Thursday at her home.
Born Feb. 27, 1915, in Butler, she was a daughter of Edward and Catherine Wiest Gallagher.
A 1933 graduate of Butler High School, she was a homemaker and mother and enjoyed crocheting "Caps for Kids" for the needy.
Mrs. Miller was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Center Township, where she belonged to the Ladies Guild and the Christian Mothers. She also was the first organist for the church.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, William E. and Cara Jo Miller of Katy, Texas, and Gordon F. and Maureen Miller of Willow Springs, N.C.; four daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Kathryn) McMurry of Stone Mountain, Ga., Mrs. Victor (Fauna Lee) Heineman of Montgomery, Texas, Mrs. Mark (Linda) Turner of Butler and Karen J. Miller at home in Butler. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the widow of Harold R. Miller, who died April 11, 1992. Two sisters, Anna Mae Perry and Berniece McNamee, also preceded her in death.
MILLER - Friends of Ethel M. Miller, who died Thursday, July 21, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1660 N. Main St. Extension, with the Rev. James Salberg officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
