James and Dorothy Arner of Concordia Haven I in Cabot celebrated their 60th anniversary recently at their home. A celebration with their daughter was held at Thanksgiving.

The former Dorothy Huston married Arner on Jan. 25, 1946, at the Ninth Avenue United Presbyterian Church in Tarentum.

They have two daughters, Karen Brunner of West Lake Village, Calif., and Doris Bounds of Dresher. They also have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Arner retired in 1988 as vice president and general manager of Precision Printing in Pittsburgh. A veteran of the Navy, he served during World War II. He enjoys woodworking and is a member of the Syria Shrine.

The couple belongs to First United Presbyterian Church in Tarentum.
