Charles 'Bud' Dillaman
Charles Edward "Bud" Dillaman, 80, formerly of Kiester Road in Slippery Rock Township, died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at Orchard Manor in Grove City, where he had lived since March 2007.
Born in Kiester, Feb. 21, 1928, he was the son of Charles Ernest and Freda Jane Kelly Dillaman.
He was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School and retired in 1989 from Cooper Energy Services, Grove City, where he was a millwright for 38½ years.
Mr. Dillaman was a Protestant.
He was a World War II Army veteran and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 519 of Grove City and the American Legion Post 852 of Harrisville.
Surviving are three children, Dwight Dillaman of Laredo, Texas, David Frisk and his wife, Dorothy, of Slippery Rock and Kathy Parker Kistenmacher and her husband, Kent, of Cary, N.C.; several nieces and nephews; two sisters, Betty Powell of Franklin and Louise "Bobbi" Ballentine and her husband, Richard, of Grove City; a brother, Dennis Dillaman and his wife, Lois, of Franklin; and a grandson, David Roman Frisk.
His wife, Ruth Esther Parfinsky Dillaman, whom he married May 26, 1962, died July 23, 2007. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Parker; and a brother, Glendon Earl Dillaman.
<B>DILLAMAN </B>— A memorial service for Charles Edward "Bud" Dillaman, who died Sunday, April 6, 2007, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Orchard Manor Nursing Home with Walter Wehman, chaplain of Orchard Manor, officiating. Burial will be at the Slippery Rock Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Association, P.O.
