Cyril Arden "Art" Rape, formerly of Zelienople, died Thursday at his home in Mesa, Ariz., where he had been a resident since 1987.

He was born Dec. 21, 1938, in Butler County to the late Mildred Klein and Daniel Levi Rape.

Survivors include Nancy Lee Rape, his wife of 30 years, of Mesa; a son, Michael of Mesa; three daughters, Deborah Crook of Mercer, Brenda Shiderly of New Castle and Tamara Swann of Redondo Beach, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Carrie Shiderly, and Zachary, Jeremy and Leigh Anne Simons. Surviving siblings include Doris McConaughy of New Brighton, David of Zelienople and Duane of Rochester.

Art was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Avery; and three brothers, Donald, Ivan and Allan.
