Warren A. Soergel, owner of orchards
Warren A. Soergel, 86, of Franklin Park died Tuesday in the Good Samaritan Hospice House, Wexford.
He was born in Wexford to the late Alfred and Marie (Uhlenburg) Soergel.
Since 1960, Mr. Soergel was the owner/operator of Soergel Orchards, which began in 1850.
Warren was a member of the Pennsylvania Fruit and Vegetable Organization (Zoros) and had held the office of president. He also belonged to the North Hills 716 F&AM Blue Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, C. Jean (Krapp) Soergel of Wexford; his children, Linda (Lawrence) Voll of Evans City, Richard (Mary Kay) Soergel of Marshall Township, Randy (Beth) Soergel of Franklin Park and Reed (Danetta) Soergel of Prospect; his sisters, Martha Jean (Herbert) Murray of Zelienople and Susanne (Eugene) Miller of Sewickley; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Herbert Soergel.
<B>SOERGEL</B> — Visitation for Warren A. Soergel, who died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the <B>Herbert R. King Jr. Funeral Home</B>, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park. Funeral services will be on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 2500 Brandt School Road, Wexford, with Pastor Fred Schenker officiating. Please meet at the church.
