PITTSBURGH The Grove City College men's and women's basketball teams were picked to finish fourth and sixth, respectively, in the Presidents' Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll.

The men were 19-9, 9-3 last season. Thomas More, Thiel and Bethany are picked to finish in front of them this season.

The women were 12-14, 8-6 in 2009-10 and are picked to finish behind Thomas More, St. Vincent, Washington & Jefferson, Westminster and Chatham.

CALIFORNIA, Pa. Seneca Valley graduate Meghan Franz, a sophomore middle hitter on the California (Pa.) University women's volleyball team, was named to the ESPN Academic All-District second team.Franz ranked among PSAC leaders with a .303 hitting percentage and 110 blocks, 15 solo. She has a team-high 256 kills.Franz has a 4.0 grade point average while pursuing a degree in education.

WASHINGTON, Pa. Butler graduate Jordan Roycroft, a senior wide receiver on the Washington & Jefferson College football team, was named to the ESPN Academic All-District second team.Roycroft has 49 catches for 432 yards and six touchdowns He ranks sixth in the Presidents' Athletic Conference in receiving yards.He carries a 3.59 grade point average as an accounting major.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio Butler graduate and Point Park University junior soccer goalkeeper Zeke O’Donnell was named to the All-American Mideast Conference second team.O’Donnell started all 17 games for the Pioneers, compiling a 1.72 goals against average.
