Sally and Rex Gates

Rex and Sally Gates of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a vacation in Cancun, Mexico, with family.

Gates married the former Sally Hays on June 20, 1953, at the Presbyterian Church in Prospect.

They have three children, Darlene Clark of State College, Pa., Dena Hochbein of Saxonburg and Darrell Gates of Ligonier, Pa.

They also have five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Gates retired from Armco.

Mrs. Gates retired from Cellular One.

The Gateses are members of the Community Alliance Church on Mercer Road.
