SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University women’s coach John Papa has been named PSAC Women’s Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year.

Rock pole vaulter Jordan Pacheco has been named PSAC Men’s Indoor Track Freshman of the Year.

Papa guided SRU to its fourth-ever PSAC indoor title, dethroning four-time champion Shippensburg. He has led The Rock to 22 PSAC team titles in cross country and track combined.

Pacheco was the lone freshman to qualify for the NCAA Division II Championship in the pole vault, winning the PSAC title with a vault of 15 feet, 9.25 inches.
