Barbara Lawson
Barbara Lawson, 75, of Butler, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024.
She was born in Pittsburgh on May 1, 1949, to the late Albert and Helen (Leicher) Miller.
Barbara worked various waitress jobs, Colonial Gardens, Home Depot and Kmart. She loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed cooking for them. Barbara was described as always being the life of the party. She loved to travel to different casinos, going to Jeep races, read, build puzzles and play bingo. Barbara enjoyed watching her “stories” or soap operas and the Steelers. In her free time, she would crochet blankets for her girls and grandkids.
Barbara was the beloved wife of Morley Lawson, whom she married 57 years ago; mother of Diana Duke, Dena (Fritz) Reekie and Debby (Pete) Zulick; sister of Al (Bev) Miller, Geoff (Sharon) Miller, Melody Branchen and Kathy Vincent; grandmother of Shawna (Matt) Blacka, Lucas (Savannah) Reekie, Paige Duke and PJ Zulick; and great-grandmother of Kenna, Forrest and Axel Reekie and Ophelia and Rowan Blacka.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sunnyview for taking such good care of Barbara.
LAWSON — Family and friends of Barbara Lawson, who died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
Burial will be held privately.
