Butler man charged in threat incident
A Butler man is accused of breaking into a city apartment where his ex-girlfriend was hiding from him Friday night.
Butler police said Ralph W. Cranmer, 57, also threatened to kill two other occupants at the home in the 100 block of West Brady Street.
Police arrested Cranmer on felony and other charges in the incident.
Officers got the call about 9 p.m. for a reported break-in at the apartment, according to court documents. Cranmer was gone by the time police showed up.
But a short time later officers found him in the area of West Brady and North Washington streets. He reeked of alcohol, police said, and appeared to be intoxicated.
