COVID-19 UPDATE 6/5: BHS encourages patients to resume seeking care

Butler Health System officials are encouraging patients to resume seeking care.

“BHS sites are open and safe for care,” said BHS spokeswoman Jana Panther. “Don't delay care and compromise your health.”

Butler County moved to the green phase of Gov. Tom Wolf's plans to reopen the state's economy from COVID-19 restrictions.

Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine will conduct a virtual briefing at 2 p.m. Friday regarding the coronavirus.

According to the state Department of Health's reports, Butler County's total number of COVID-19 cases has decreased by one to a total of 239.

In the department's report Thursday, it listed the county's total at 240. The report can be viewed in the archives of the department's website.

The county's death toll remained at 12.
