Joyce Simpson

Joyce (Ryen) Simpson, 90, of Indiana, Pa., died Wednesday at her home.

The daughter of Allen and Amanda Potts Ryen, she was born Aug. 3, 1920, in Rochester Mills, Indiana County.

Joyce had led an active life until recent years. Her interests included bingo, bowling and casino trips.

Joyce will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her children, Robert, and his wife, Debbie, of Renfrew, Jerry, and his wife, Connie, of Callery and Janet Taylor and her husband, Bruce, of Polk City, Fla.; a sister, Goldie Pardee and her husband, Arthur; brothers, Blaine and his wife, Peg, Eugene and his wife, Sis, and Kenneth and his wife, Vera, all of Rochester Mills; grandchildren, Cindy Bright and her husband, Brian, of Indiana, Shelly Fusaro and her husband, Bill, of Mars, Bobby Simpson of Freedom, Michele Fatora and her husband, Ken, of Indiana and Amanda Simpson of Sewickley; and a great-grandson, Kyle Fatora of Indiana.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nathanial George Simpson; a sister, Shirley Ryen; and brothers, Irvin, Roy, James and Bud.

<B>SIMPSON</B> — Friends of Joyce (Ryen) Simpson, who died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home</B>, 898 Old Route 119 N, Indiana, Pa. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Lefdahl Chapel with the Rev. Micah McMillen officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
