Ronald L. Madden
Ronald L. Madden, 70, of Butler died Tuesday at the Chicora Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 17, 1939, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Dr. Frank B. and Blanche Sankey Madden.
Ron worked as a stationary steam engineer out of the Boilermakers Union in Pittsburgh from 1959 until 1988.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and he was a member of American Legion Post 117 in Butler.
He also was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Butler.
Ron enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid trout fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Rosalie M. Watt Malicki Madden, who he married Nov. 17, 1988. Also surviving are four daughters and their husbands, Debbie and Bub Newman of New Lothrop, Mich., Billie M. and Larry Milton of Owosso, Mich., Tammy and Frank Fisher, also of Owosso, Mich., and Sharon and Richard Vesnesky of Butler; and two brothers, Frank Madden of South Carolina, and Robert Wayne Madden and his wife, Joyce, of the Whitehall area of Pittsburgh. Nineteen grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.
<B>MADDEN </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Ronald L. Madden, who died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Panther, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.
