Norma Jean Brennen
Norma Jean Brennen, 88, of Butler passed away Wednesday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born July 30, 1929, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late James McFadden Browne and the late Edith Winifred Hutchinson Browne.
Norma Jean was a past president for the Cubs Auxiliary. She belonged to several 500 card clubs.
Norma Jean enjoyed flower gardening. She liked to play games, cards and most of all, bingo.
Norma Jean is survived by her one son, Glenn E. (Mary Patricia) Brennen III of Butler; one daughter, Sherry (Donald) Halm of Butler; four grandchildren, Melissa (Timothy) McCloskey, Ashley (Christopher) Norris, Donovan Halm, and Glenn Brennen IV; seven great-grandchildren, Brittany McCloskey, Savanna McCloskey, McKenzie McCloskey, Kaitlin McCloskey, Christopher Norris, Brennen Norris and Rowen Brennen; one son-in-law, James Roxberry; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. Brennen II, whom she married Nov. 6, 1948, and who passed away July 19, 1982; one infant son, Jeffrey Brennen; one daughter, Judith E. Roxberry; one infant brother, William; and three sisters, Betty E. Fend, Beulah Dimun and Donna Birckbichler.
BRENNEN — Friends of Norma Jean Brennen, who died Wednesday, April 18, 2018, will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. with the Rev. John C.R.
