James H. 'Jim' Britton
James H. "Jim" Britton, 60, of Sorrento, Fla., went to meet his Heavenly Father March 31.
Born Jan. 18, 1948, He formerly lived in Evans City and Grand Haven, Mich.
He, along with his wife, was a career missionary, having served the Lord in various countries around the world since 1973, including Indonesia, where he lived for seven years. At his death he was serving in the member care department of Pioneers-USA in Orlando and had recently returned from a three-week ministry trip to the interior of Kalimantan, Indonesia. He was known by one and all as a great encourager and friend and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Beth A. Hirschy; two sons, Seth (Jennifer), and James (Danielle) of Florida. He also leaves a daughter-in-law, Lynn (Oswaldo) of Dryden, Mich., and seven grandchildren. He is survived by his in-laws, Phil and Fae Hirschy of Evans City, Dean Hirschy (Jill) of Connoquenessing, and Kae (Dwight) Kirkwood, of Evans City.
A son, Shane, preceded him in death.
