Peggy I. Bridge Double
Peggy I. Bridge Double, 85, of Renfrew passed away after a long battle with cancer on Friday evening in the comfort of her home with her faithful companion Max, a Boston terrier by her side.
Born Aug. 26, 1933, at her family's home in Strattanville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Constance S. Mullen Bridge.
She was a member of St. John's Reformed Church of Butler.
Peggy loved being a mom and most of all, being called Gam by her grandchildren.
She loved riding motorcycles, traveling across the country, apple picking and bingo. She never met a stranger and welcomed all warmly into her home.
Peggy was preceded in death by the love of her life, Conrad “Coonie” Double, who died on June 5, 1997; and a brother, Fredrick Bridge.
She is survived by four daughters, Connie (Robert) Gregor of Renfrew, Brenda (Thomas) Vesel of Renfrew, Pamela (James) Sauers of Butler and Amy Double of Meridian; two sisters, Diane (Melvin) Moser of Portersville and Sally (Hap) Pander of Lillyville; six grandchildren, Robert (Tina) Kirker, Jason Vesel, Tylor (Sarah) Sauers, Nicklas (Robyn) Sauers, and Brennan and Eban Smith; and four great-grandchildren, Drew, Kane and Khloe Kirker and Roman Sauers.
DOUBLE — The family of Peggy Double, who died Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, will receive friends and relatives from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W.
