Shirley A. Kuras

Shirley A. Kuras, 67, of Hartly, Del., formerly of Sarver, passed away Sunday at ACMH in Kittanning.

Born Dec. 6, 1949, in Lock Haven, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Max Russell and Emma Jean Kramer.

Shirley was a graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany Valley High School. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sarver. Shirley worked in retail until her retirement when she was able to enjoy her hobbies of photography and reading. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are her companion, Fred Stewart of Hartly, Del.; her sister, Beverly Dickey of Mill Hall, Pa.; her children, Ray and Brenda Bowman of Sarver, Lori (Charlie) Cornmesser, Charles Kuras Jr., John (Lori) Kuras, Lexey VanHorn, Chris (Paula) Kuras and Jennifer (Mike) Smith; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Kuras, and her brother, James Russell Kramer.

KURAS — Friends of Shirley A. Kuras, who died Sunday, July 9, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Shawn Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Sarverville Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
